This Rock Island Armory M1911 A2 FS TAC Ultra is a full-size, double-stack .45 ACP 1911 built on a robust 4140 steel frame with a Parkerized matte gray finish. It features a 5-inch barrel, a 14+1 capacity wide-body A2 frame, and a full-length dustcover with a Picatinny-style accessory rail. The fiber-optic front sight and LPA fully adjustable rear sight provide a precise sight picture, while ambidextrous controls and a flared magwell support confident handling.

The TAC Ultra FS configuration combines capacity, control, and sighting upgrades in a proven 1911 platform. The wide-body A2 frame delivers 14+1 rounds of .45 ACP, and the full-length dustcover adds a Picatinny-style accessory rail for mounting compatible lights.
Controls and ergonomics are set up for confident operation. It includes an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory pad. A flared magwell speeds reloads, and the checkered mainspring housing and textured gray grip panels offer secure purchase.
The sighting system is tuned for clarity and adjustment. Up front is a dovetailed fiber-optic sight with an orange rod, paired with an LPA-marked fully adjustable rear sight featuring two white dots. The slide has front and rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation.
Performance-oriented components round out the build. A skeletonized, lightened trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer keep the action crisp. The 4140 steel (cast) frame and Parkerized matte gray finish provide a durable foundation. Markings include APINTL-PAHRUMP NV and ACP PHILIPPINES, with LPA branding on the rear sight.
