This High Standard Sentinel R-108 is a compact, nine-shot .22 with a 2.5-inch barrel and a double-action/single-action system. Built with an aluminum-alloy frame and steel barrel and cylinder, it carries the classic Hamden, Connecticut rollmark and the round High Standard frame emblem. It also accepts .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle, adding flexibility for range use and small-bore shooting.

The Sentinel R-108 features a nine-shot swing-out cylinder with a front-mounted release plunger and a knurled ejector-rod head, offering straightforward operation and speedy unloading. The exposed hammer supports DA/SA use, and the smooth trigger face provides a consistent feel through both modes.
Its 2.5-inch snub-nose barrel keeps the profile compact while retaining a full-length steel barrel and steel cylinder for durability. Fixed sights include a ramp/blade front and a square-notch rear for a simple, rugged sight picture.
The frame is aluminum alloy to pair strength with manageable heft, and it wears two-piece checkered brown synthetic grip panels for a secure hold. The right side carries the round High Standard emblem, and the barrel is rollmarked "HIGH STANDARD MFG. CORP. HAMDEN. CONN.
