The U22 Neos uses a single-action, blowback system chambered in .22 LR and pairs an alloy steel barrel/receiver with a fiberglass-reinforced technopolymer frame. Styled by Giugiaro, the grip and frame geometry emphasize a comfortable, consistent hand position. This example was made in the United States and is marked accordingly.
Sighting is handled by fully adjustable iron sights: a replaceable pinned black front blade and a fully adjustable white-outline square-notch rear, with an 8.9-inch sight radius. An integral cross-slotted Weaver-style top rail runs the length of the barrel assembly and is designed to keep sight zero when the barrel unit is removed or swapped.
Controls and safety features include an ambidextrous manual safety, a sear-blocking safety, and a cocked firing-pin indicator. Field-stripping is tool-less via the forward takedown latch, streamlining maintenance and barrel-unit changes.
Factory capacity is 10+1, and this pistol comes with two factory 10-round magazines. Upper/receiver and barrel surfaces wear a matte black finish (the design uses an internal reciprocating bolt housed within the upper/receiver; no external slide), and the textured polymer grips carry the Beretta trident medallion. The model line had a documented safety-lever recall; owners can verify recall status with Beretta by serial.
