Built by FEG in Hungary, this M44 carbine shows the correct Hungarian crest and the '02' factory code on its round receiver, aligning it with 1950s Hungarian production. The action is the standard Mosin pattern with a straight bolt handle, cock-on-open operation, and a pull-and-rotate cocking-piece safety.
Chambered in 7.62x54R, it uses the internal 5-round magazine with stripper-clip loading (5+1 capacity stated). Sights are the proper iron set: a hooded front post and a tangent-leaf rear graduated in meters, giving an authentic military sighting arrangement for the platform.
The 20.2 in steel barrel and blued steel barreled action contrast with the bolt left in the white, a correct detail for the pattern. The one-piece hardwood stock includes the side sling slot with metal liner, an upper handguard, and buttstock cartouches. Length of pull is 13.5 inches.
