This Colt Government Model is the America Remembers "We The People" Tribute Pistol, an edition of 1000 issued by America Remembers and Colt’s Manufacturing Company LLC. It is a full-size, steel-frame 1911 in .45 ACP with a 5-inch barrel, presentation-grade contrast finish featuring polished blued slide flats with gold inlay and a matte black/gray frame and slide top, celebrating the Constitution. Attractive gold-toned small parts and double-diamond hardwood grips with gold Colt medallions round out a collectible, limited-edition package.

Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Overall Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: This firearm is in great shape overall, with minor scratches and small blemishes. Slight finish wear is visible at the rear slide serrations and along some sharp edges.

This tribute pistol features a slide with polished blued flats and a matte, non-reflective top, vertical rear serrations, and detailed gold inlay/etching. The artwork includes "We the People" script, banners from the Constitution’s Preamble, patriotic vignettes and stars, COLT cartouches, and an edition marking on the top of the slide. The presentation-grade contrast of polished blued flats against matte black/gray surfaces highlights the extensive embellishments.
Gold-toned accents complement the theme, including the hammer spur, magazine release, grip-screw heads, pins, and the muzzle/bushing ring. The pistol wears double-diamond checkered hardwood grips fitted with gold Colt medallions, tying the overall look together.
Built on the classic full-size Colt Government Model platform, this 1911 is chambered in .45 ACP and uses a single-action, short-recoil, locked-breech system. It includes a manual thumb safety and grip safety, a spur hammer, and fixed GI-style sights with a front blade and rear notch. Capacity is 8+1 with the included 8-round magazine.

An America Remembers wood presentation display case with red felt liner and limited-edition plaque is included. The display case is broken in several spots, and the glass is no longer retained to the box. An original case and paperwork are also included.
