The Golden Boy’s 20-inch octagon barrel is blued steel and paired with a dovetailed brass-bead front sight. The barrel’s 1:16 RH twist supports a wide range of .22 LR loads and also accepts .22 Short and .22 Long. A full-length tubular magazine uses a knurled magazine rod and a witness slot with a gold/yellow follower, with capacity stated as 15 in the tube plus 1 in the chamber with .22 LR.
The receiver is an alloy construction with a polished Brasslite finish, giving the rifle its signature look. Operation is via a smooth lever-action with a standard-size loop and an exposed hammer featuring a 1/4-cock hammer safety.
Stocked in American walnut, this rifle has a straight-grip buttstock and matching walnut forend. The stock set includes a brass buttplate, no checkering, and aftermarket sling swivel studs installed: a rear wood-screw stud and a clamp-on magazine-tube front stud.
This example is configured with a 3-9x40mm duplex-reticle scope mounted on a cantilever base using Kwik-Site 1-inch rings. The 14.0-inch length of pull provides a comfortable shoulder fit, and the rifle is built in the USA under Henry’s Golden Boy series, model H004.
