Made by Israel Military Industries and imported by Magnum Research, this Mark I carries the correct rollmarks: 'DESERT EAGLE .357 MAGNUM PISTOL ISRAEL MILITARY INDUSTRIES., MAGNUM RESEARCH, INC., MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. — MADE IN ISRAEL'. The right-side 'MADE IN ISRAEL' marking identifies IMI manufacture with Magnum Research importation.
Its gas-operated design with a rotating multi-lug bolt is paired with twin recoil-spring guide-rod sockets at the muzzle, a hallmark mechanical layout of the early Desert Eagle platform. The single-action system and external hammer provide a familiar manual of arms.
