Made in USA and marked "MADE IN USA" and "MADE BERETTA USA CORP., ACKK, MD.", this Bobcat represents the U.S. production run from 1984–1988. Its 1980s Accokeek manufacture adds clear provenance for buyers who prefer domestic-marked Beretta pocket pistols.
The 2.5-inch steel tip-up barrel is the hallmark of the 21A design. A frame-mounted release lever allows the barrel to pivot upward, providing direct chamber access without racking the slide. This example features an externally threaded muzzle; standard 1980s Bobcats were not factory-threaded, indicating this barrel is a non-standard threaded configuration (thread pitch unspecified).
The pistol uses a simple blowback, DA/SA, hammer-fired system with an exposed spurred hammer. The slide carries rear serrations for positive manipulation, and the sights are simple, with a fixed rear; front configuration may vary with the installed barrel.
Construction combines a black anodized aluminum-alloy frame with a blued steel slide, paired with an in-the-white (bright steel) barrel assembly. Smooth wood grip panels with inlaid Beretta medallions provide a classic look and secure hold in a micro-size package.
Capacity is 7+1 with a single-stack magazine. One 7-round steel magazine is included, consistent with the Bobcat’s compact profile and carry-friendly design.
