This P229 Elite Scorpion is a compact, DA/SA .40 S&W built on an aluminum-alloy frame with an Elite beavertail. The stainless-steel slide and frame are finished in Flat Dark Earth for a uniform, duty-ready look. Front strap vertical serrations and a trigger guard undercut support a positive grip.
Sight acquisition is handled by 3-dot tritium night sights, both dovetailed and MH3 marked. The slide includes forward and rear cocking serrations and an external extractor for reliable operation and easy manipulation.
Controls include a decocker, an exposed spur hammer, a curved trigger, and a left-side magazine release. An integral Picatinny rail with three slots allows mounting of compatible lights or accessories as needed.
The pistol has a 3.9 inch barrel and a 12+1 capacity in .40 S&W. Textured gray/green SIG SAUER G10 Piranha grip panels provide secure purchase and a distinctive Elite Scorpion appearance.
