This Springfield Armory XD-40 Tactical stands out as a full-size .40 S&W with a 5-inch barrel, forged steel slide with Melonite finish, and steel 3-dot sights. Built by HS Produkt in Croatia and imported by Springfield Armory, it features an ambidextrous magazine release, integral accessory rail, and a clean, bright bore. It comes in excellent condition with two 10-round magazines and the original XD Gear accessories, plus a Hogue rubber slip-on grip sleeve installed.

The XD-40 Tactical configuration pairs a 5-inch hammer-forged steel barrel with a forged steel slide, both treated with a durable Melonite finish. The longer sight radius and full-size frame deliver a purposeful Tactical setup in a 10+1, low-capacity configuration.
Controls and safety features are well-appointed: striker-fired action, an ambidextrous magazine release, grip safety, trigger safety, striker block, and a loaded-chamber indicator. The slide includes front and rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation.
Steel, dovetailed 3-dot sights provide a clean sight picture, with a white-dot front and two-dot rear. The black polymer frame integrates a three-slot accessory rail for lights or other compatible rail-mounted equipment.
Materials and internal details include a one-piece recoil spring with a full-length guide rod and a 1:16 RH barrel twist. Dimensions are approximately 8.3 inches in length, 5.5 inches in height, and 1.2 inches in grip width; weight is about 31 oz.
Manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia and imported/marketed by Springfield Armory, this pistol bears the markings "SPRINGFIELD INC. GENESEO IL, MADE IN CROATIA."
