This Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C in 9mm Luger combines the compact 4 inch configuration with U-Dot sights and the Variable Interface System (VIS) direct-mount optic cut. It uses Springfield's serialized Central Operating Group stainless-steel chassis, has fully ambidextrous controls, and carries an 18+1 capacity. This example comes with three factory steel magazines, an installed flared magwell funnel, and original Springfield packaging.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Overall Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: Minor scratches and small blemishes are present from light handling. The VIS direct-mount optic cutout shows superficial blemishing and traces of residual adhesive.

The 4.0C configuration pairs a 4 inch, hammer-forged, nitrided (Melonite) steel barrel with a compact grip module and 18+1 capacity. The slide wears a black Melonite finish and is equipped with the U-Dot sight system: a tritium front dot and a U-notch rear.
The slide features Springfield's VIS (Variable Interface System) direct-mount optic cut with locating pins, allowing direct mounting to the slide without adapter plates. The optic cut on this pistol is present and functional as described in the features list.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the slide stop and true ambidextrous magazine release. The flat-faced trigger includes a safety tab, and the pistol uses Springfield's Adaptive Grip Texture with interchangeable backstraps; two additional backstraps are included.
Construction centers on a serialized Central Operating Group (stainless-steel chassis) inside a black polymer frame, with an accessory rail featuring four slots. Markings include "GENESEO, IL" and "HS PRODUKT • MADE IN CROATIA," consistent with manufacture in Croatia.
This pistol comes with three factory steel magazines and an installed Springer Precision flared magazine-well funnel. A soft zippered case, loader, manual, and factory box complete the package.
