The SBL configuration combines stainless-steel construction with a black/gray laminated stock and forend for durability and weather resistance. The 16 in stainless barrel and stainless receiver wear a polished finish that matches across components.
A full-length Picatinny-style top rail spans the receiver and barrel. The rail integrates a ghost-ring rear sight, paired with a hoodless green fiber-optic front sight set in a ramped base for a bright, fast sight picture.
The big-loop lever, pistol-grip laminated stock with factory checkering, and rubber recoil pad provide secure handling. Length of pull is 13.75 in. Front and rear sling swivel studs are installed, and a laser-engraved Horse-and-Rider accents the underside of the pistol grip.
Chambered in .357 Magnum and compatible with .38 Special per the factory manual, this carbine feeds from an under-barrel tubular magazine with an 8+1 capacity. It uses side ejection with a solid-top receiver and includes a cross-bolt safety.
Key build details include a stainless barrel and receiver, laminated hardwood furniture, and U.S. manufacture. This example is the SBL series, mfg part number 70433, and carries the RM-prefix confirming Ruger-made Marlin production.
