This MCX-SPEAR LT is chambered in 7.62x39 and configured with a 16-inch cold hammer forged barrel, a short-stroke gas piston system with a two-position adjustable gas valve, and SIG's captured internal recoil system that enables a true side-folding stock. It features ambidextrous controls, a flat two-stage match trigger, and a uniform coyote/tan factory finish across the receivers, handguard, stock, and grip.

The short-stroke piston system with a two-position adjustable gas valve supports reliable operation with varied ammunition, and the gas regulator window on the handguard is clearly marked with +/− for quick reference. The captured internal recoil system eliminates the need for a buffer tube, allowing the side-folding, skeletonized stock to function as intended.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety, magazine release, and bolt catch, and the rifle provides both a left-side charging handle and a rear charging handle for flexible manipulation. A flat-faced, two-stage match trigger offers a consistent, defined break.
The free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard integrates a continuous top Picatinny rail and a cutout for direct access to the gas regulator. A factory three-prong flash hider is installed at the muzzle.
Construction and finish details include aluminum receivers with a coyote/tan finish matched across the handguard, stock, and textured SIG polymer pistol grip. Markings read "SIG SAUER INC NEWINGTON NH USA." The rifle is configured with a 12.75-inch length of pull and a 1:9.5 twist rate.
