This Rock Island Armory M1911 A1 GI Standard FS is a full-size .45 ACP built in true GI configuration with Series 70 fire-control. It uses a forged 4140 steel slide and a cast 4140 steel frame with a parkerized matte finish, fixed GI-style sights, and the standard GI recoil system. It comes with an 8-round ACT-MAG and the RIA factory hard case.

The GI Standard FS configuration delivers the classic 1911 experience: a 5 in. barrel, single-action operation, and an 8+1 capacity in .45 ACP. Its Series 70 fire-control system maintains a straightforward internal design without a firing-pin safety.
Built for durability, this pistol pairs a forged 4140 steel slide with a cast 4140 steel frame. The parkerized matte finish on both slide and frame supports the GI theme, and the unloaded weight is approximately 39.5 oz.
GI-pattern features are carried throughout: a standard recoil system with barrel bushing and short guide rod, an arched mainspring housing, a solid short trigger, a spur hammer, and smooth wooden grip panels. Safety features include a thumb safety and a grip safety.
The slide has rear-only vertical serrations, while the sights are fixed GI-style with a staked ramp front and a small rear notch. Markings include "APINTL – PAHRUMP NV" and "ACP PHILIPPINES." This example is cataloged under RIA part number 51421 and was made in the Philippines.
