Product Description

Colt Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless Type III .380 ACP, 3.75 in Barrel, 1921, Refurbished Chrome-Like Finish with Rose-Gold Small Parts

This 1921 Colt Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless Type III is a compact .380 ACP with the hallmark concealed-hammer profile and top-ejecting slide. It stands out with a recent chrome-like refinish accented by rose-gold small components, aftermarket white plastic checkered grips with a molded COLT banner and molded rampant colt emblem (no inlaid medallions), and the desirable Type III configuration that omits the magazine disconnect. It includes one 7-round magazine.

Built in the United States, this all-steel, single-action blowback pistol reflects the Model 1908 lineage that served civilians and police and later saw U.S. General Officers' issuance. A small "K" inspection stamp appears at the right front of the frame/slide juncture near the muzzle.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: The pistol presents well overall, with visible scratches and blemishes. There is a consistent layer of pitting across the frame and slide. The pistol has been refurbished with a chrome-like finish, and the smaller components display a rose-gold finish.

    What’s Included

    • Colt Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless Type III pistol (.380 ACP)
    • 1x 7-round steel single-stack magazine

Manufactured in 1921, this Model 1908 is a Type III variant, recognized for deleting the magazine disconnect while retaining the model's signature grip safety and manual thumb safety. The concealed hammer and compact dimensions make it a classic Colt pocket pistol in .380 ACP.

It uses a single-action blowback system with a 3.75-inch barrel and a 7+1 capacity. The heel-style magazine release suits the design era and complements its slim, steel single-stack magazine.

The slide features top ejection, rear vertical serrations, and low-profile fixed sights, with a small fixed blade front and a small fixed notch integral to the slide at the rear. There is no external slide stop, consistent with the model's original design.

This example has been refurbished with a bright chrome-like finish and rose-gold tone on smaller components, paired with aftermarket white plastic checkered grips featuring a molded COLT banner and molded rampant colt emblem (no inlaid medallions). A small "K" stamp is present at the right front of the frame/slide juncture near the muzzle, adding a clear inspection marking detail.
