The MK116 Mod 1 uses a PWS long-stroke gas piston system with adjustable gas settings, delivering a clean-running action and tunable performance with the included FSC556 muzzle device. The 16.1-inch barrel is threaded and fitted with the factory device; the bore is bright with sharp rifling.
The rifle features a free-float aluminum KeyMod handguard with a full-length top Picatinny rail on a flat-top upper that includes a forward assist and ejection-port cover. No optic is installed. Flip-up sights are installed.
Controls and handling are enhanced with a BCM Gunfighter charging handle and a Magpul BAD-style extended bolt catch. The lower is marked "MODEL MK1 CAL. MULTI" and "PWS BOISE, ID." Safety is a standard manual selector.
Furniture includes a collapsible Magpul CTR carbine stock and a rubber overmolded finger-groove AR-type pistol grip. An angled foregrip is installed. Capacity is 30+1, and one 30-round Magpul PMAG is included.
