The two-tone look pairs a black Armornite-finished slide with an FDE polymer frame, and the No Thumb Safety configuration keeps controls streamlined. It ships with two 22-round magazines and was introduced in January 2023 at SHOT Show.

The M&P 5.7 uses Smith & Wesson’s TEMPO two-part, gas-assisted locked-breech barrel system. It features a 5 in stainless steel barrel threaded 1/2x28 with a thread protector, delivering a modern 5.7x28mm setup with a 1:9 twist. Both barrel and slide receive S&W’s Armornite finish for corrosion resistance.
The optics-ready slide includes an optic cut with a cover plate, plus front and rear serrations and lightening cuts for easy manipulation. Steel 3-dot sights are drift adjustable, and the pistol provides a 7.125 in sight radius.
This No Thumb Safety model pairs an internal hammer with a single-action trigger. Controls are shooter-friendly with an ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine release. The right side of the slide is marked "CAUTION–CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED."
Capacity is 22+1 with the included two 22-round steel single-stack magazines. The full-size FDE polymer frame integrates an accessory rail and textured M&P grip panels with the S&W medallion, complementing the two-tone black/FDE presentation.
