Designed as part of SIG's first polymer-frame line, the SIG Pro series, the SP2022 blends a durable Nitron-finished stainless-steel slide with a lightweight polymer frame. This example incorporates an integral Picatinny-style accessory rail and has rear slide serrations for confident manipulation.
The SP2022-9-B-CA configuration is California compliant and ships with 10-round magazines for a 10+1 capacity. It is a DA/SA, hammer-fired pistol with a decocker and an exposed spurred hammer. Safety features include a firing pin block, hammer intercept notch, and trigger bar disconnector.
Controls and ergonomics are user-focused, with a reversible magazine release and interchangeable grip module/backstraps. The serialized steel chassis window is visible under the dustcover, and the frame is marked EXETER, NH, underscoring its U.S. manufacture.
Sighting is straightforward and durable with fixed, dovetailed 3-dot contrast sights (white front dot and two white rear dots). The 3.7 in barrel balances handling with sight radius, and the included spare grip shell and SIG polymer holster add practical versatility out of the box.
