This carbine retains the hallmark features of the Model 92: a top-eject receiver with a right-side loading gate and a full-length tubular magazine. Chambered in .44-40 Win (.44 WCF), it offers a stated capacity of 11+1, with a 13-inch length of pull and a straight-grip stock.
The 20-inch round barrel is paired with a carbine ladder-style rear sight and a blade front sight integral to the front barrel band, providing a correct carbine sight picture. The fore-end is the carbine pattern with two barrel bands (a rear band at the front of the fore-end and a front/muzzle band that carries the blade front sight).
Factory markings include "MODEL 92 - WINCHESTER - .44 WCF" on the barrel and "WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK / MADE IN U.S.A." on the lower tang. Winchester oval WP proofs are present on top of the barrel at the breech and on top of the receiver.
Built in the United States, this Saddle Ring Carbine retains its left-side saddle ring staple with ring present and the traditional top-eject layout. It reflects the classic Model 92 carbine configuration in a period-correct .44-40 chambering.
