The rifle is built on the Aero Precision M5 AR-10 platform and is chambered in .308 Winchester. It uses a direct impingement operating system and includes an 18-inch barrel with a threaded muzzle and an installed multi-port brake/compensator with an open-prong crown.
The free-float aluminum handguard provides M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions and integrates a QD sling socket. The top of the handguard is lightened/skeletonized with short 12 o'clock rail sections; the T-marked Picatinny rail is on the upper receiver rather than running the full length.
The upper receiver is outfitted with a forward assist, brass deflector, and ejection-port door. Controls include a selector with pictograph markings and an integrated/enlarged trigger guard for generous access.
Furniture is set up for precision shooting with the Magpul PRS Gen3 stock, featuring tool-free dials for adjustable comb height and length of pull, plus a rubber buttpad. The Magpul MOE pistol grip is installed for a familiar AR ergonomics profile.
This M5 accepts SR-25/LR-308 pattern magazines and comes with a 20-round Magpul PMAG. The rifle is finished in black and manufactured in the USA.
