Designed for precision, the USP Expert features a long slide with a recessed rear sight cut and a 5.20 in cold-hammer-forged polygonal match barrel. The barrel uses an O-ring fit for consistent lockup, supporting the model's accuracy-focused role.
Its operating system is HK's short-recoil, modified Browning linkless design with a patented recoil-reduction system to help control slide velocity. The slide wears HK's Hostile Environment finish in black.
Controls include a DA/SA match trigger with adjustable over-travel, a frame-mounted safety and decocker, and HK's paddle-style magazine release. The pistol uses an external hammer and a proprietary USP-pattern accessory rail (pre-1913).
The fiber-reinforced polymer frame has molded checkering for secure purchase. Sights are a high-profile front blade and a micrometer-adjustable rear. Overall length is 8.74 in, and the unloaded weight is approximately 33.16 oz. This German-made example bears CIP N and DE proof marks and the HKI – Columbus, GA import mark, with matching serial numbers on slide, barrel, and frame. Capacity is 10+1 as configured.
