The Delaware State Police crest is engraved on the left side of the receiver, providing direct agency provenance. This factory Wingmaster presents the polished blued finish and steel receiver construction associated with the series, paired with a hardwood buttstock.
The 20" plain cylinder-bore barrel and single bead front sight deliver a straightforward, duty-style setup. The chamber is 2 3/4", and the gun is configured for 12 Gauge shells only.
A +2 magazine extension increases capacity to 6+1 and is secured by a barrel/magazine clamp with a bottom sling attachment point; no loop or QD swivel is installed. A Pachmayr synthetic forend is installed for a secure, durable grasp, while the buttstock wears a recoil pad. The result is a compact, law-enforcement style configuration.
The action is the 870’s twin action bar design with a cross-bolt safety. Materials are all-steel for the receiver and barrel, finished in polished blue, with a cylinder choke and no rib for a clean sighting plane.
Production characteristics align with 1968–1973 manufacture. The S-prefix denotes that timeframe, and the V-suffix indicates a 12-gauge 2 3/4" receiver, consistent with the marked chamber and configuration.
