The polished brass receiver and matching brass barrel band and buttplate give this rifle its classic brass-frame appeal. The straight-grip, uncheckered American walnut stock provides a traditional profile with a 13.5" length of pull.
The 20" octagon steel barrel is rollmarked for .30-30 Winchester and uses a 1:12 twist. Capacity is 5+1, fed through a right-side receiver loading gate or the removable inner magazine tube with a knurled end cap and follower window.
For sighting, the rifle retains a dovetailed brass-bead blade front sight. The rear barrel sight has been removed, and the dovetail is neatly filled with a blank. The receiver is drilled and tapped for the Weaver 63B pattern, and this rifle has a receiver-top scope-mount base installed.
Controls and safety features include a transfer-bar safety.
Markings include the top flat legend "HENRY REPEATING ARMS - BAYONNE NJ - MADE IN USA" and tang marking "MODEL H009BG."
