The Taylor's Deluxe Gunfighter configuration pairs the 1873 SAA frame with an elongated 1860 Army-size, one-piece smooth walnut grip for a secure, full-hand hold. The lightly checkered hammer spur provides confident purchase for single-action cocking.
Factory tuning focuses on a smoother, reduced trigger pull for precise single-action operation. The revolver retains a traditional fixed-sight setup with a fixed blade front and a topstrap notch rear.
Construction details include a color case-hardened frame, blued barrel and six-shot fluted cylinder, and a bullseye-style ejector-rod head. The solid cylinder (base) pin is retained by the frame’s spring-loaded crossbolt latch, consistent with the model’s classic layout.
Markings are clear and correct: "MOD. 1873 CAL. .357 MAG." on the left barrel, a two-line 1871/1872-style patent legend on the left frame, and the barrel import line "TAYLOR'S & CO., WINCHESTER VA – A. UBERTI ITALY." An Italian date-code "CM" on the butt denotes 2014 production.
