The P89 DC configuration provides ambidextrous, slide-mounted decocker levers paired with a DA/SA trigger and an exposed spur hammer. Built on Ruger’s investment-cast P-Series architecture, it uses a short-recoil, locked-breech system with an external extractor and a right-side ejection port.
The pistol has a two-tone finish: a stainless slide over a dark anodized aluminum-alloy frame. A black wraparound checkered synthetic grip provides a secure hold, and a lanyard loop at the butt offers an attachment point when needed.
Chambered in 9mm Luger, it features a 4.5-inch barrel and a 15+1 capacity. This model will fire with the magazine removed due to the absence of a magazine disconnect, a detail also noted on one included magazine’s yellow label.
The fixed sights consist of a front blade with a single dot and a rear notch set in a dovetail. The combination is straightforward and durable, matching the P89’s practical design and rugged construction.
