Made in South Africa, the TZ99 uses a short-recoil, locked-breech, tilting-barrel operating system and a full-size aluminum-alloy frame. The pistol wears a matte black finish and a full-length dustcover without an accessory rail, delivering a solid, balanced feel in hand.
The action is hammer-fired DA/SA with an external spur hammer. Decocking and slide-release controls streamline operation and safing. Rear vertical slide serrations aid manipulation.
Sights are fixed, with a front blade featuring a white dot and a square-notch rear set in a dovetail. Checkered black synthetic grip panels provide a secure hold.
