The SPEAR LT represents the third generation of the MCX platform, built around a modular, multi-caliber concept with a quick-change barrel interface and AR-trigger compatibility. In this configuration, it is chambered in .300 AAC Blackout with a 9 in cold hammer-forged carbon steel barrel and a 3-prong flash hider on the threaded muzzle.
Its short-stroke gas piston system uses a two-position adjustable gas valve to tune function, while the free-floated MCX LT aluminum M-LOK handguard and full-length 12 o'clock Picatinny rail provide a rigid mounting surface. The installed flip-up iron sights are ready for immediate use.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including bolt catch and release on both sides, an ambidextrous magazine release, and an ambidextrous safety selector. A flat-faced match trigger is installed from the factory.
The side-folding hinge with telescoping stock offers compact storage and quick adjustment, with QD sling cup integration and approximate length-of-pull positions at 11 in and 13.5 in. The aluminum receiver is finished in coyote anodize and carries factory markings reading "SIG SAUER INC NEWINGTON NH USA" and "SIG MCX MULTI-CALIBER." Made in the USA.
