This example is customized with aftermarket pearlescent synthetic grip panels and includes one 8-round magazine and the factory hard case. Import marks indicate APINTL–Pahrump NV, with Philippine manufacture.

The M1911 A1 FS Tactical pairs the proven 1911 platform with practical enhancements for handling and reliability. It is recoil-operated and single-action, chambered in .45 ACP, with a single-stack 8+1 capacity and a Government-length 5-inch barrel.
Tactical features include a lowered and relieved ejection port, rear cocking serrations, and dovetailed sight cuts. The slide and frame wear a matte black finish with prominent ROCK ISLAND ARMORY markings.
Sight configuration consists of a dovetailed front blade and a low-profile, square-notch rear, both set into dovetail cuts for secure retention. Controls include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety and a high-sweep beavertail grip safety with a memory bump.
The pistol uses a skeletonized commander-style hammer and a three-slot skeletonized trigger. The front strap is smooth, and the mainspring housing is straight with vertical serrations. This example is customized with white pearlescent synthetic grip panels. Import marks read APINTL–PAHRUMP NV PHILIPPINES, and the country of origin is the Philippines.
