The receiver heel is factory-marked “US RIFLE M1A SPRINGFIELD ARMORY” (with serial number), while the “SOCOM 16 CQB” legend appears laser-etched on the forward operating-rod/rail cover area. It is fitted in the Archangel CQB polymer chassis with an integral pistol grip and telescoping stock. A Vortex Venom 3MOA Red Dot is installed on a low receiver/clip-guide mount, complementing the barrel-mounted forward Picatinny scout rail and the adjustable aperture iron sights.

The Archangel CQB polymer chassis features an integral pistol grip, a telescoping stock with a rubber buttpad, and a 14.5-inch length of pull. The chassis includes molded details on the left side, including a U.S. flag and SPRINGFIELD ARMORY branding. The handguard is polymer, and the overall finish presents a uniform matte black/gray tone.
Sights and mounting options are versatile. Factory sights include an adjustable rear aperture with windage and elevation drums and a wing-protected front post. A barrel-mounted forward Picatinny scout rail is present, and this rifle comes with a Vortex Venom 3 MOA micro red dot already installed on a low receiver/clip-guide mount for a ready-to-use sighting setup.
Mechanically, the rifle uses a semi-automatic, gas-operated, short-stroke piston system with a two-stage trigger. The 16.25-inch barrel pairs with the distinctive multi-port SOCOM muzzle brake and the short gas system to deliver the compact SOCOM 16 profile in .308 Win.
