The P226 Legion pairs a stainless steel slide with an aluminum-alloy frame in the Legion Gray finish. It features an extended beavertail, an undercut trigger guard, and front and back strap checkering for a secure, consistent grip. G10 checkered grips with Legion medallions complete the package.
Its DA/SA action includes SIG's Short Reset Trigger (SRT) and a frame-mounted decocker. The left-side magazine release and well-defined controls support efficient handling. The slide has front and rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation.
Sight picture is provided by fixed tritium 3-dot night sights, with a green-dot tritium front sight marked TG-H3 and a dovetailed rear with two tritium lamps. The 4.4-inch barrel and locked-breech, tilting-barrel operating system deliver dependable performance, with the barrel hood marked "9MM PARA SIG."
A three-slot Picatinny accessory rail is integrated into the dust cover. Capacity is 15+1 with flush-fit magazines. The slide bears the "LEGION" wordmark, and the right side of the frame is marked "SIG SAUER INC. EXETER–NH–USA." Country of origin is USA.
