This Italian-made Franchi Mod. Diamond stands out for its factory engraving and refined field configuration. The coin-finished steel receiver carries extensive floral scrollwork with FRANCHI and DIAMOND oval crests, complemented by a blued, ventilated-rib barrel set and checkered walnut stock. It is configured with 26-inch barrels, 3-inch chambers, and M/IC chokes, and was imported by Benelli USA.
Condition
Overall Condition: Fair condition, showing extensive signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Overall Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.
Specific Condition Notes: There are scratches and blemishes on the wood stock and barrel finishes. The locking lug retention pin is worn; the locking lug can be locked open with a firm push and parts will need to be replaced. The shotgun is able to fire while the safety is engaged; parts will need to be replaced and we recommend evaluation by a qualified gunsmith before use. The locking lug shows ample remaining life, barrel fit is tight, and the ejectors are timed properly. The top firing pin is in good shape, while the bottom firing pin shows a very mild amount of pitting at the tip.
The stock has a very slight right-hand cast-off.

The Mod. Diamond series showcases Franchi’s Italian craftsmanship, with a coin-finished steel receiver covered in factory floral scroll engraving. The receiver bottom features FRANCHI and DIAMOND oval crests, and the engraving extends to the top lever, trigger guard, and forend iron, which also has engraved latch hardware. Markings include "IMPORTED BY BENELLI USA CORP, MADE IN ITALY."
This 20 gauge over/under is built around 26-inch blued barrels with a ventilated rib and a brass front bead. It is chambered for 3-inch shells and holds two rounds. The gun is set up with Modified and Improved Cylinder chokes for versatile field performance.
The stock is walnut with a checkered pistol grip and a 14.5-inch length of pull, offering confident purchase and a classic look. There is a very slight right-hand cast-off for subtle stock alignment.
Mechanically, the barrels lock up tightly, the locking lug retains ample life, and the ejectors are properly timed. The top firing pin is in good shape; the bottom pin shows only mild tip pitting. Note that the locking lug retention pin is worn, and the shotgun can fire with the safety engaged; parts will need replacement. A qualified gunsmith should inspect and service the firearm before use.
