What’s Included
- Mossberg 940 JM Pro 12 Gauge semi-automatic shotgun (MPN 85111)
- Improved Cylinder choke tube (installed)
The 940 JM Pro platform centers on Mossberg’s updated gas system, designed to run for up to 1,500 rounds between cleanings. Critical internal components receive a nickel-boron coating to enhance lubricity and fouling resistance. The barrel is threaded for the Accu-Choke system, and this shotgun comes with an Improved Cylinder choke installed.
Capacity and handling are optimized for competition use. An extended magazine tube runs to near the muzzle for 9+1 rounds, while a competition-optimized loading port, elongated elevator, and orange follower support fast, consistent loading techniques.
Controls and ergonomics are set up for quick manipulation. Oversized controls—including the charging handle, bolt-release, tang safety, and trigger—provide positive purchase and high visibility. The black synthetic stock and forend include molded texturing, a thick ventilated recoil pad, and user-adjustable length of pull, drop, and cast. Length of pull is 14.5 inches.
The alloy receiver wears a tungsten-gray anodized finish and is drilled and tapped for mounting an optics rail. The 24-inch vent-rib barrel offers a clean sighting plane, and the chamber accepts both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch 12-gauge shells.
This 940 JM Pro earned recognition across the industry, including the 2020 Caliber Award for Best New Shotgun and the 2021 NRA Golden Bullseye Award.
