Construction pairs a matte silver aluminum alloy frame with a stainless steel 1.875" barrel and a stainless steel 5-shot fluted cylinder. The ejector rod is shrouded with a knurled tip, and the topstrap integrates a fixed rear trough sight. Up front is an integral serrated ramp for a clear, no-adjustment sight picture.
Crimson Trace rubber lasergrips with a red laser are installed, complementing the compact J-frame format. The grip panels also carry the S&W medallion, and the frame bears the "Airweight" script.
Factory markings include the S&W Trade Mark logo and "SPFLD, MA S&W U.S.A." The revolver incorporates S&W's internal key lock and retains the classic 5-round capacity in a micro-size package made in the United States.
