Built on the Colt I-frame with V-spring lockwork, this double-action/single-action Python reflects the hand-fitted action the model is known for. It carries a smooth-faced trigger and an exposed hammer with a wide, checkered spur.
The 6-inch barrel combines a ventilated rib, full underlug, and a shrouded ejector rod. Sighting is handled by a ramped front sight and a fully adjustable rear sight, giving the shooter a clear and tunable sight picture.
Construction is carbon steel with a high-polish blued finish. The revolver wears factory walnut target stocks with Colt gold medallions, and the cylinder release latch features horizontal serrations. The six-shot cylinder is fluted.
Markings include the barrel legend "PYTHON .357" over ".357 MAGNUM CTG" with a small star, and the right-side rollmark "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN.
U.S.A." This revolver was manufactured in the United States in 1975 and is an original-production Colt Python.
