Approximate unloaded weight is 35 oz with an empty magazine and no optic.

The P4 HD uses a steel frame and slide with a polymer grip module, delivering the familiar 2011 single-action, hammer-fired operation in a compact size. The skeletonized trigger and manual thumb safety are paired with a Series 80–style firing-pin block, and a traditional grip safety is present.
The 4-inch stainless bull barrel is matched to a slide featuring front and rear wrap-over serrations and top serrations. An external extractor and a lowered, flared ejection port support consistent extraction and ejection.
Staccato's HOST direct-to-slide mounting system provides an ACRO-footprint optic cut with a cover plate installed. Tall iron sights are included, with a dovetailed front sight and a rear sight configured for use with the optic system.
An integral 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover accepts compatible lights or accessories. Capacity is 10+1 using Staccato/2011 double-stack steel magazines, and one 10-round magazine is included. This pistol is made in the USA.
