What's Included
- Weatherby Mark V Deluxe .30-06 bolt-action rifle
The Mark V action is central to this rifle’s appeal. Its multi-lug bolt design delivers strong lockup with an approximately 54-degree lift for fast cycling, and the one-piece fluted bolt adds smooth operation. A safety lever on the bolt shroud provides familiar, positive control. This right-hand action is paired with an internal box magazine and a hinged floorplate for easy unloading.
The 24" steel sporter barrel with a recessed crown complements the .30-06 chambering and maintains the rifle’s balanced handling. The receiver is factory drilled and tapped for scope bases with four holes, offering straightforward setup for optics. The lack of iron sights keeps the top profile clean.
Finished in high-luster blue over steel, the metalwork matches the Deluxe-grade high-gloss walnut stock. The stock features a Monte Carlo comb with cheekpiece, fineline/skip-line checkering, a contrasting forend tip and grip cap with white-line spacers, and Weatherby’s white diamond inlay. Sling swivel studs and a ventilated recoil pad are factory-style touches. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Manufactured in Japan by Howa during 1992–1993 (H-prefix serial range), this rifle bears correct Weatherby rollmarks: "SOUTH GATE CALIF. MADE IN JAPAN" and "MARK V — U.S. PATENT NO. 3,013,355," along with "USE ONLY .30-06." These markings, combined with the Deluxe trim and the excellent bore, make this a strong example of a Japanese-production Mark V Deluxe.
