The Hellcat’s 3-inch steel barrel is hammer-forged, Melonite treated, and +P rated, offering durability and corrosion resistance. A dual captive recoil spring with a full-length guide rod supports reliable function in a compact format.
The slide features a Black Melonite finish with front and rear cocking serrations and an optics-ready (OSP) top with a removable cover plate ahead of the rear sight. Springfield Armory’s crossed-cannons logo is present on the slide top, and serial markings were observed on the barrel hood and frame insert.
U-Dot iron sights include a tritium/luminescent high-visibility front dot and a tactical-rack rear with a white U-outline, giving a clear, fast sight picture in varied lighting.
The black polymer frame uses Adaptive Grip Texture with a slight beavertail and molded finger index pads for consistent control. A non-proprietary single-slot accessory rail on the dustcover accepts common lights or accessories.
This striker-fired, semi-automatic model includes a trigger safety with an integral safety blade and a loaded chamber indicator. Markings include "MADE IN CROATIA, SI GENESEO, IL." The standard configuration supports a maximum stated capacity of 13+1.
