Built on an all-steel slide and frame, this Model 1908 Vest Pocket is a striker-fired, blowback-operated pistol in .25 ACP with a 2-inch barrel. Its micro size and streamlined profile were purpose-built for discreet carry during its era.
Safety is a core feature of this design, with a triple-safety system that includes a manual safety, a grip safety, and a magazine disconnect safety. This configuration reflects Browning’s intent to provide multiple, redundant safeguards in a compact sidearm.
The slide wears vertical rear serrations and period-correct markings, including the Colt rampant horse at the left rear. The post-1917 slide legend includes the July 31, 1917 patent date, aligning with this pistol’s 1922 production.
Sighting is via integral fixed iron sights with a small front blade and a rear notch/trench. The checkered black hard rubber grips carry the COLT banner and rampant Colt, while the included single-column magazine holds six rounds and features circular witness holes with a flat base.
