The CSX platform delivers a compact, metal-frame 9mm with single-action-only operation and an external hammer. Controls include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety and ambidextrous slide stop, plus a reversible magazine release and a flat-faced trigger with a trigger safety tab.
Construction is all-metal where it matters: a stainless steel slide treated with a black Armornite finish and a stainless steel barrel with a bright exterior, paired with a matte black aluminum-alloy frame. The slide features front and rear cocking serrations and top anti-glare serrations. The frame incorporates a beavertail tang, textured grip panels, a textured frontstrap, and interchangeable backstraps.
Sight alignment is straightforward with dovetailed, metal 3-dot white sights. Capacity is up to 12+1 rounds, and this example includes two 12-round and one 10-round factory magazines to suit different carry or size preferences.
This is the first-generation CSX without an optics cut (pre E-Series). Notable rollmark on the slide reads: "CAUTION - CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED." Made in the USA, manufacturer part number 12615, with an MSRP of $609.
