The factory 15-inch blued steel barrel is marked 30-06 Sprg and is drilled and tapped, with two screws securing the rear-sight base. Sights include a ramped front with orange insert and an adjustable rear blade with two green dots for a clear, high-contrast sight picture.
This Encore uses a single-action, break-open design with an inside-the-guard opening lever for straightforward loading and unloading. Capacity is one round, and the exposed hammer provides positive control.
Construction features a blued steel frame and receiver paired with a smooth wood forend and a wood pistol grip with finger grooves. The polymer grip cap is marked ENCORE over the TC logo, matching factory markings.
As part of the Encore modular platform, the frame accepts caliber and configuration changes via Encore-specific barrels and forends. Encore components do not interchange with Contender parts. This example was manufactured by Thompson/Center Arms in Rochester, New Hampshire.
