The FNX-45 Tactical is a full-size, DA/SA, hammer-fired .45 ACP pistol with fully ambidextrous controls, including the safety/decocker, slide stop, and magazine release. It carries a 15+1 capacity and features an integral 1913/Picatinny accessory rail.
Its 5.3-inch stainless steel barrel is cold hammer forged and factory threaded 0.578x28 RH, with a thread protector included. This setup supports muzzle device use while maintaining barrel durability and accuracy potential.
The Flat Dark Earth slide includes an optics-ready cut with a cover plate, front and rear cocking serrations, an external extractor, and a loaded chamber indicator. Suppressor-height 3-dot night sights provide a tall front blade and raised two-dot rear for clear sighting over mounted optics or muzzle devices. FN optics-mounting plates and hardware are included.
The polymer frame is finished in Flat Dark Earth and includes interchangeable backstraps for fit tuning. Adhesive grip-wrap panels are installed on the frame for added traction. The slide is marked "FN Columbia, SC USA," and the pistol is made in the United States. Two 15-round steel magazines are included.
