Built on Colt's medium J-frame with Mark III internals, this revolver uses a transfer-bar safety and a double-action/single-action system. The smooth-faced trigger and wide, knurled, case-colored hammer spur support confident control in both DA and SA modes.
The 6-inch steel barrel features a solid, serrated rib to reduce glare, paired with a ramped, serrated front sight and a fully adjustable Accro-style rear sight. This sighting setup allows precise zeroing with standard .22 LR loads.
Construction is all-steel with a high-polish blue finish across the frame and six-flute cylinder. Classic Colt touches include the Rampant Horse logo on the right side of the frame and checkered walnut target stocks with Colt medallions.
Chambered in .22 LR with a six-round cylinder, this full-size Trooper Mk III was manufactured in the United States in 1980. It retains the exposed ejector rod and other hallmark design elements of the series.
