The SCAR 16S here is the legacy RCH model, using a reciprocating, side-charging handle. It pairs that configuration with an ambidextrous safety/selector and FN's durable alloy upper/polymer lower receiver set in FDE with black controls. Factory markings include "FN COLUMBIA, SC USA."
The 16.25-inch, medium-profile barrel is chambered in 5.56×45 mm NATO and uses a 1:7 twist to stabilize a wide range of bullet weights. It is threaded at the muzzle and fitted with a three-prong flash hider.
Ergonomics and adaptability are central to this rifle. It uses the SCAR-pattern stock that folds, telescopes for length of pull, and features an adjustable cheekpiece. The handguard has vented FDE panels and removable MIL-STD-1913 rail segments at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, while a full-length, numbered MIL-STD-1913 top rail runs from receiver to gas block.
Sight and accessory support are built in. The rifle features a folding front sight integral to the gas block, and the top rail is ready for optics or a rear sight of your choice. This example also includes an installed aftermarket rubberized pistol grip with finger grooves, with two additional FDE grip options provided to tailor the setup.
