The Model 27-2 is built on S&W's N-frame as a six-shot .357 Magnum, combining durability with refined fit and finish. This example has a 5-inch barrel length that balances sight radius and handling, with an ejector rod shroud for added protection.
The barrel rib and topstrap are hand-checkered/serrated to reduce glare, complementing the high-polish blue finish on the frame and cylinder. The yoke is marked MOD. 27-2, and the revolver originates from the United States.
Its DA/SA action features a wide, smooth-faced trigger and an exposed hammer with a wide checkered spur, both color case-hardened. Sights include a ramped front blade and a micrometer-adjustable rear, allowing precise elevation and windage adjustments.
Period details include the pinned barrel and recessed chambers. The revolver is fitted with aftermarket oversize smooth finger-groove stocks bearing S&W medallions, offering a fuller grip profile.
