Controls include a paddle-style magazine release, an ambidextrous two-position safety, a left-side, non-reciprocating charging handle that is reversible, and a bolt hold-open/release. Ejection is to the right side.
The polymer receiver and handguard keep weight down while providing durability. The handguard integrates Picatinny rail segments and a molded lower hand-stop. A full-length MIL-STD-1913 top rail runs the length of the receiver with additional side and bottom accessory rails.
Factory CZ flip-up iron sights are installed and calibrated for 25 m, with a front post and a rear adjustable drum/aperture. The stock is polymer and folds to the right side.
Markings include "CZ SCORPION EVO 3 S1," "CZ-USA, KANSAS CITY, KS," and "MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC," with a serial-number plate on the right side. The stated capacity is 20+1, and one 20-round magazine is included. The Scorpion EVO 3 S1 line has been discontinued in favor of the Scorpion 3+.
