Built around a straight blowback action, the EP9 uses AR-pattern safety and a bolt catch with last-round hold-open, paired with right-side ejection for straightforward handling. A 1913 Picatinny receiver-top rail with a separate short accessory rail section on the handguard supports mounting lights or other accessories. The cylindrical polymer handguard features longitudinal texture and an integral hand stop for consistent grip indexing.
