The 18-inch barrel is marked ".308 WIN 1/10 6R" and is threaded at the muzzle with a multi-slot flash suppressor. The 6R rifling profile and 1:10 twist rate are well-suited to common .308 Win loads, and the bore presents in excellent condition.
The rifle uses a direct-impingement, gas-operated system. The upper is a flat-top design with a T-marked Picatinny rail (indexed S&W, T2–T14) for mounting optics or accessories. A railed gas block and a two-piece vented polymer handguard with a short accessory rail at 6 o’clock provide straightforward mounting options.
The receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard-coat black anodized finish. Controls include an ambidextrous safety selector. Furniture consists of a collapsible polymer stock and a Magpul polymer pistol grip for a solid, serviceable interface.
Markings include the Smith & Wesson crest and "SMITH & WESSON, SPRINGFIELD, MA, MADE IN U.S.A." The rifle accepts SR-25/LR-308 pattern magazines and comes with a 20-round Magpul PMAG LR/SR GEN M3.
Sights are not included, allowing the user to configure the rifle with their preferred sighting system on the integral top rail and gas block rail.
