The XD-S 3.3 is a micro, single-stack .45 ACP with a slim profile of about 1.0 inch and an unloaded weight of roughly 21.5 oz. It pairs a forged steel slide treated with a black Melonite/nitride finish to a polymer frame with textured grip surfaces and interchangeable backstraps for fit tuning.
Sighting is handled by a red fiber-optic front and a low-profile steel rear, both dovetailed. The slide wears rear serrations and a top-mounted loaded-chamber indicator that provides both tactile and visual confirmation.
Safety features include a grip safety, trigger safety tab, and an internal striker block, along with the loaded-chamber indicator. A single-slot accessory rail on the dust cover supports compatible lights or accessories.
