This American Tactical Alpha Maxx AR-15 pistol pairs a compact 7.5-inch 5.56 NATO barrel with a lightweight hybrid polymer/metal receiver in Flat Dark Earth. The Alpha Maxx platform uses a hybrid polymer/metal receiver construction with metal reinforcements, combining low weight with critical-area strength. The upper and lower designs are protected by US Patents 9,068,786 (upper) and 8,789,305 (lower). The receiver is marked MADE IN USA, and the lower is marked MULTI-CAL.
The slick-side upper omits the forward assist and incorporates a molded brass deflector for clean ejection. A metal ejection-port cover and an integrated polymer trigger guard are factory-fitted components. The overall finish is Flat Dark Earth to match the frame and handguard.
A 7.5-inch threaded barrel is topped with an A2-style flash hider. The ventilated FDE polymer handguard provides a continuous full-length 12 o'clock Picatinny rail, and the pistol comes with polymer flip-up front and rear sights. Controls include a standard right-side magazine release and a manual safety, and the rear unit is a rigid polymer cheek-rest/buffer-tube shroud mounted on a carbine receiver extension.
