The CZ 82 (vz. 82) is a compact, all-steel Czech service pistol chambered in 9x18mm Makarov and imported by Century Arms International. This example features its original black polycoat-type finish, a fixed 3.8-inch chrome-lined barrel with polygonal rifling, and ambidextrous controls. It is C&R listed (ATF, 2007) and comes with three 12-round steel magazines plus an extra set of surplus metal grip panels that are not CZ 82 pattern (two-screw layout; likely from another CZ model), with custom checkered wood grips installed.

What’s Included
- Three 12-round steel magazines (for CZ vz. 82)
- Checkered wood grip panels with CZ "Z" medallions (installed)
- Surplus metal grip panels, bright silver/chrome finish, two-hole pattern not compatible with CZ 82 (not installed)
Built for military service in the 1980s, the CZ 82 pairs a DA/SA blowback action with a fixed, chrome-lined barrel and polygonal rifling. This setup is known for durability and straightforward operation, with a spurred external hammer and a frame-mounted manual safety.
Controls are ambidextrous and practical. The magazine release is the vz. 82-style button at the rear of the trigger guard, mirrored on both sides. The safety is also ambidextrous and frame-mounted, and the pistol carries a standard 12+1 capacity in 9x18mm Makarov.
Sighting is via fixed three-dot sights: a front blade with a single white dot and a rear square-notch with two white dots that is drift-adjustable for windage. The slide includes rear cocking serrations and an anti-glare rib. The pistol is all steel with a black baked-enamel/polycoat-type finish.
Markings are correct for an import: the left-side slide bears "MDL. CZ82 9MM MAK CZECH C.A.I GEORGIA VT." It also carries the Czech crossed-swords acceptance mark and the "she 86" factory/year code. The model was granted U.S. Curio & Relic status by ATF in 2007, adding collector interest to this service-pattern sidearm.
This example is set up with checkered wood grip panels featuring CZ "Z" medallions, and it includes a separate surplus set of bright metal grip panels that are not CZ 82-compatible (two-screw pattern; likely from another CZ model). Three 12-round steel magazines accompany the pistol, offering a complete range setup for the vz. 82 platform.
